Danita Harden Jones

Apostle Danita Harden Jones is a dynamic, anointed, prophetic warrior for the Kingdom of God. She carries several tiles Apostle, Pastor, Ambassador, Chaplin and Doctor of Divinity. Her heart burns for to the purity of Kingdom ministry.

 

She long to see captives set free. Apostle Jones passion is to nourish “TREES” Teach, Restore, Equip, Empower, Sons to walk as trees of God. She is an influential spiritual civic leader, conference speaker, teacher and counselor. Her call to serve South Fulton community led to establishing a community development center in the great city of Fairburn, Georgia.

 

As founder and CEO of the In His Great Name Ministry (IHGNM), she renovated an urban site and created a space which includes a thrift store, administrative offices, sanctuary, service center and multi-purpose area, housed within the community center.

 

IHGNM is a matrix of services that have dynamically impacted the men, women and youth of the area. Under her leadership and in cooperation with a host of community collaborators, IHGNM has offered crisis intervention services, mentoring, substance abuse counseling and placement, GED classes, summer camp, and after school program for At-risk Youth.

 

Through her passion and love she turned a drug-infested poverty-stricken community into a peaceful revitalized community. She has initiated several annual outreach initiatives including the Annual Prayer Walk, Back to School Youth Rally, Community Togetherness Day Block Party, now known as “Flavor on the Southside,” Annual Thanksgiving Dinner and Christmas sharing.

 

In Apostle Jones’ capacity as a spiritual leader and teacher, she conducts classes and ongoing trainings, workshops and conferences throughout. As a civic leader, she serves on several boards. She maintains strong linkages with community partners collaborating on service delivery integration with her ministry.

 

Amidst all of Apostle Jones’ accomplishments, her greatest joy in life is her relationship with Jesus Christ. She has for over 30 years serves in ministry and continues to maintain and pursue a passionate, intimate relationship with her Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ.

 

Married for more than 28 years, she is the proud mother of three children, grandmother of 14 beautiful grandchildren and great grandmother of 4 adorable great-grandchildren. Apostle Jones received her nursing certification from Georgia Medical Institute, an associate degree in Business, and an undergraduate degree in Human Services from Shorter College.

 

She accepted the call to the ministry and began receiving training through Life Institute in Lithonia, GA. She was licensed in 2001, under the leadership of Bishop Eddie L. Long; she served in both the Evangelism and Pastoral Care ministries. She received the call to lead God’s flock as senior pastor in 2007, after ordination she and husband, Eric pursuit building In His Great Name Worship Center.

 

She ministered and hosted the Restoring and Equipping Broken Vessels on WAIN Internet TV for over three years. Additionally, she has been on Atlanta Live several times. She is a member of South Fulton Ministerial Alliance. She served as President of the Atlanta Chapter of the Women National Evangelist and Missionary Conference. She received the President Barack Obama Lifetime Achievement Award.

 

She is an Ambassador at Large to the United Nations and a Certified International Chaplain. She also was commissioned to Apostleship under the leadership of Apostle Terrell Murphy and she received her Honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree all in 2019.

 

Apostle Jones, minister to God’s people with a fiery compassion and God-given authority, provoking whosoever to cultivate a vision of divine destiny, propelling the Saints of God to a new level in faith as she bids them to, “reach beyond what they see.” Forgetting what lies behind, and…straining toward what lies ahead…press on toward the goal to win the prize that God has called us heavenward for, in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:13
